He Will Carry Them in His Bosom

"Listen to me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been borne by
me from before your birth, carried for the womb; even to your old age I am he, and to gray
hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save." Isaiah 46:3-4

Do your parents still carry you sometimes? Do you like it when they do? Even if they don’t do
it often, isn’t it nice to know that they still can – especially if you need carrying?

This isn’t just throwing you over their shoulder, like a fireman’s carry (although that is most
welcome when you need it). No, the Good Shepherd says he will carry you “in his bosom” –
more like a hug.

To be hugged and carried at the same time – what could be more wonderful than that?
